Boldly Elevating Awareness In Las Vegas
– By Dayna Roselli
The B.E. A. S.H.E.R.O. Foundation is making a difference in Las Vegas. The non-profit organization is a resource for girls in vulnerable situations.
If you are wondering what it stands for, here it is:
Boldly. Elevating. Awareness.
Supporting. Humanity. Equality. Rights. Oneness.
Founder, Kimberly Miles, says sex trafficking is an ongoing issue. The B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation helps protect, shelter, educate, and support abused and exploited victims of sex trafficking. It provides crucial resources needed to support, sustain and empower young girls and women under the age of 25 who have been abused, neglected, and exploited. They need help getting on the road to recovery. It takes resources and support.
The B.E. A. S.H.E.R.O. Foundation non-profit is all volunteer based. They raise money at events like the annual awareness gala, but it always needs more. Anything from products to transportation. The organization partners with other non-profits in the Las Vegas community. Miles says it’s her mission to keep it going strong.
The foundation is always looking for volunteers and funds. The next meeting is in April. This is where you can learn more, but you can also fill out an application on the foundations website to get started. There’s a teen board too. It’s a mentorship and empowerment program. They organize their own events and fundraisers for the foundation.
Miles is passionate. You’ll find her on social media, working hard to raise money for the non-profit, and making a difference. The annual awareness fundraiser gala is on its 5th year. It has one goal in mind, and that’s to end human trafficking.
The website is full of resources and information. There’s a blog with great information about protecting yourself in the digital world, and how you can help.
