Lisa Remillard | Media Personality
Lisa is a two time Emmy Award nominated journalist. Most recently she was the Morning and Midday anchor for ABC Action News in Las Vegas. Besides anchoring three and a half hours of news per day, she also booked the daily guest segments which included, philanthropists, newsmakers and many celebrities. Her biggest accomplishment while in Las Vegas was being the only television journalist granted access to the top secret Weapons School training facility at Nellis Air Force Base. It is the place where the best of the best in the Air Force learn how to fight. Not only was she granted access to the school, its instructors and its students, but she was also allowed to ride along in an F15e during a mock training exercise. She is most proud of being able to pull 8 Gs and NOT get sick!
Before Las Vegas, Lisa spent five years in Florida. She spent a short time as a reporter at WTXL in Tallahassee and then three years as a reporter at WFTS in Tampa-St.Petersburg. There she covered some of the biggest stories in the country including the Debra Lafave scandal, as well as Anna Nicole Smith’s death and the custody battle for her daughter.
Lisa received an Emmy nomination for coverage of the Lake County Tornado devastation. She was also the reporter who exposed Nick Hogan’s jail house phone calls after a car accident that critically injured one of his friends. While in Tallahassee, Lisa produced and anchored a weekly entertainment segment.
Lisa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Southern California. Lisa proudly donned the princess tiara for the 1997 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl game.
